Rates/Tariffs
All tariffs are quoted in Australian dollars. Tariffs are per night for 2 adults per cottage.
With more than 2 people per cottage there is an additional charge of $16.50 per night per person.
0-2 years old is no charge, assuming no bed is required.
Portacots and highchairs availabe at no extra charge.
Minimum Night bookings
2 night over weekends
4 nights over Christmas period and January summer holidays
4 nights over Easter Break
4 nights over Melbourne Cup Weekend (The weekend closest to and including 1st Tuesday in November)
3 nights over long weekends
20% extra surcharge for single night bookings
Check in time is from 2:00pm (1400 hours)
Check out time is 10:00am (1000 hours)
Smoking
Blue Moon Cottages is strictly NO SMOKING indoors. Guests found smoking will be asked to leave.
Deposits and Full Payments
50% confirmation deposit to be paid immediately by credit card to secure the booking. Full payment is due 14 days prior to the booking date. If you wish to make a payment by cheque, direct bank deposit or money order please telephone 61 (03) 5985 8551or email info@bluemooncottages.com.au to make the booking. Payment constitutes the clients acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Cancellation & Refunds
$50.00 cost to transfer a booking.
Cancellations up to 14 days prior to your booking date you will receive a 50% refund of your total booking less $50.00 cancellation fee.
Cancellations 14 days or less prior to your booking date payment in full is due and payable.
We recommend you take out travel insurance to provide protection against loss due to illness, injury, death, loss of luggage and cancellation of travel.
A change of date within 2 weeks of your booking date is considered a cancellation. Every effort will be made to resell your cancelled booking, and if successful, will be considered a date change only.
Conditions of use
The owners will make every effort to ensure the property is available as booked. However the owners reserve the right to make alterations to bookings due to unforeseen circumstances.
To maintain a good standard for our guests we require certain conditions to be complied with. We appreciate most will respect our property but the occasional abuse requires that we state the following conditions.
- Number of Guests should not exceed the number stated on the Confirmation Notice or subsequently agreed in writing or email. Fees will apply for excess guests not agreed with the owners in advance.
- We ask that you inform us of any Day guests. No more than six day guests may visit at any one time. Day guests are allowed to visit during the hours of 9am – 9pm. You are responsible for their behavior at all times.
- Parties and Functions are strictly prohibited. The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly this rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc. Use contrary to this may result in loss of your bond and/or additional payments.
- Damage, Breakages, Theft and Loss are the tenants responsibility during their stay.
- Departure - the property should be left in a similar state to its condition on arrival. Check-out time is 10am by the latest, to allow time to prepare property for next guests, unless another time is agreed between the parties.
- Disturbance to our neighbours, including excessive noise (which includes loud music, raised voices, car engines and foul language), is prohibited and may result in termination of rental and loss of bond. Please consider neighbouring cottages especially after 10pm.
- Two cars only are allowed per property and parking is permitted only in allocated parking bays. Please do not park on the grass.
- Loss - the owners take no responsibility for the tenant's personal property.
Pet stays
- Please bring your own bedding and bowls for your pets.
- Do not allow pets on bedding and furniture.
- Do not lock pets inside while you are out. We do not take responsibility for pets left in courtyards or fenced gardens, you must do so at your own risk.
- Constant barking and/or howling is not acceptable. Complaints from nearby residents and guests will be referred directly to the owners, including the matter of refunds due to early departures.
- Please check the courtyards and garden areas thoroughly before you leave and clean up any messes left by your pets. Failure to do so will mean you incurring additional charges.
