Blue Moon Cottages is strictly NO SMOKING indoors. Guests found smoking will be asked to leave. Any damage caused by smoking will result in extra charges.
Deposits and Full Payments
50% confirmation deposit to be paid immediately by credit card to secure the booking if you are booking online. The following credit cards are accepted: Visa & MasterCard. Full payment is due 30 days prior to the booking date. If you wish to make a payment by direct bank deposit please telephone 61 (03) 9775 4722 or email info@bluemooncottages.com.au to make the booking. Payment constitutes the clients acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Your credit card will be used as security against any damages etc.
For Ocean Blue Retreat, Saltwater@Sorrento and bookings for groups under 25 years of age:
- A Security Bond is required prior to arrival. This is for a pre-approval amount from your credit card of $1000. Security Bond will be returned within 48 hours after departure if there are no damages.
- You agree to supply us with your credit card details at the time of your booking confirmation for Security Bond (we accept Mastercard/VISA only)
Cancellation & Refunds
$95.00 cost to transfer a booking.
Cancellations made from time of booking up to 30 days prior to your booking date you will receive a 50% refund of your total booking cost less $95.00 cancellation fee.
Cancellations made 30 days or less prior to your booking date payment in full is due and payable.
We recommend you take out travel insurance to provide protection against loss due to illness, injury, death, loss of luggage and cancellation of travel.
A change of date within 30 days of your booking date is considered a cancellation.
Every effort will be made to resell your cancelled booking, and if successful, will be considered a date change only.
Conditions of use
The owners will make every effort to ensure the property is available as booked. However the owners reserve the right to make alterations to bookings due to unforeseen circumstances.
To maintain a good standard for our guests we require certain conditions to be complied with. We appreciate most will respect our property but the occasional abuse requires that we state the following conditions.
- Number of Guests should not exceed the number stated on the Confirmation Notice or subsequently agreed in writing or email. Bookings will be made for the maximum number of guests you require to stay at the property at any time regardless of the number of days your additional guests choose to reside with you. We will not breakdown the cost of the bookings based on individual days for individual guests.
- No day guests are allowed.
- Parties and Functions are strictly prohibited. The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly this rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc. Use contrary to this may result in loss of your bond and/or additional payments.
- Damage, Breakages, and Loss to or from the property are the tenants responsibility during their stay. Tenants shall be liable for all costs and expenses incurred as a result of such damage, breakages or loss. Without prejudice to any other remedies available, Owner shall be entitled to revoke the security bond to cover such costs and expenses and/or debit any credit card used to make the principal payment.
- Loss - the owners take no responsibility for your or your guests or invitees personal property during your stay.
- Departure - the property should be left in a similar state to its condition on arrival. Check-out time is 10am by the latest, to allow time to prepare property for next guests, unless another time is agreed between the parties.
- Disturbance to our neighbours, including excessive noise (which includes loud music, raised voices, car engines and foul language), is prohibited and may result in termination of rental and loss of bond. Please consider neighbouring cottages especially after 10pm and before 8am.
- Two cars only are allowed per property and parking is permitted only in allocated parking bays. Please do not park on the grass.
- A full book of instructions is supplied in each cottage detailing how all the appliances work etc. if you require a member of staff to assist with any problem during your stay a fee may be incurred if the problem is not a fault in appliances or utilities etc. We are more than happy to help should any legitimate problem occur.
- Our gardening and maintenance staff may require access to the gardens and property during your stay, we ensure these visits are kept to a minimum but are sometimes unavoidable to ensure the high maintenance of the property. Please be assured should maintenance need to enter the property you will be contacted beforehand.
- At Ocean Blue Retreat please note the pool is solar heated only. Setting for the pool are automated and any guest who tampers with the pool settings will lose their bond. In addition, please be mindful of Condition 7 above and we therefore ask you not to use the pool after 10pm and before 8am as a courtesy to our neighbours.
Pet stays
- Pets are only allowed where specific arrangements have been made prior to arrival. In those instances...
- Please bring your own bedding and bowls for your pets.
- Do not allow pets on bedding and furniture.
- Do not lock pets inside while you are out. We do not take responsibility for pets left in courtyards or fenced gardens, you must do so at your own risk.
- Constant barking and/or howling is not acceptable. Complaints from nearby residents and guests will be referred directly to the owners, including the matter of refunds due to early departures.
- Please check the courtyards and garden areas thoroughly before you leave and clean up any messes left by your pets. Failure to do so will mean you incurring additional charges.
- Large or small kennel available on request.
- We understand not all pets are created equal so if you are unsure about any of the above conditions please talk to us first if you have any hesitations.
